Boudoir Studio Development | Northern Virginia Boudoir Photographer

Thursday, March 5, 2015
Hello, Lovely!

On this snowy day, I’m working away at ALL kinds of projects with a husband needing help in the basement, a daughter home from school, and an infant with a bad case of the “mamitis.”  For more on this life changing affliction, see here.

Ha!

This we finished a house project that I’m excited to showcase—the development of my boudoir!

As many of you know, I purchased a nearly 300-year old house in an effort to be able to work more from home—most especially with my photography.  Everywhere I turn in Northern Virginia and Maryland, it seem like there are restrictions and fees.  Restrictions and fees are especially true with boudoir where you have to purchase a hotel room, are sometimes prohibited from shooting boudoir, and the hotel rooms are obviously limited in style, décor and space.

No so when your home has SEVEN bedrooms and you also own an antique furniture business.  Here is one of the beds we recently finished.

I’m excited to slowly develop my photography business in the house and around the property of this awesome home.  Next up, painting.  I’m thinking something like <<this>> for wall behind the bed.  Maybe a different wall color? ... I'm LOVING the cement look.

The bed is wonderful, but it cannot compete to the beauty of those children. They are darling!
