Giving Thanks

Happy Thursday, Lovelies!

Everyone loves and celebrates Thanksgiving differently.  I grew up eating two course meals every night, but for Thanksgiving?  We ate pizza from Pizza Hut.

Let me share a little with you about what I am thankful...

Today, I’m thankful for my girls.  They live in a blended family where they have to travel every-other-weekend to see one another… but still, every night they are in each other’s dinner prayers, are giddy to talk to one another, and say “you are my best friend.”  I couldn’t be a luckier mom/ step mom.

Today, I’m thankful for my husband.  I had lost hope in finding someone who could love me the way I am… and he does.  He takes me as I am, and he’s the most amazing man in his own right.  He figures out how to make my dreams come true, and he comes home singing romantic songs he says were stuck in his head all day because they remind him of me.

Today, I am thankful for my parents, siblings, and siblings-in-law.  We live FAR away from one another, but I can always feel their love and support.  My parents live 6,000 miles away, and we talk nearly every day.  They are the kind of parents that send our girls a book and “listening socks.”  I’m one lucky lady.

Today, I’m thankful for my businesses.  This summer I left my day job to take on THREE businesses—Nanuuq LLC (a federal contracting business), Jalapeño Photography, and Óxido.  It is so much work, but I love it!  Hopefully, my hard work will pay off in the next year!

Finally, I’m thankful for you!  I check my stats all day long, squeal when I get comments and likes, and when I sell a piece of furniture or book a photography contract?  Wow, me?!  You make me feel like I’m sitting with the cool kids at school.  Thanks for making me feel so awesome!
