Happy Tuesday,
Lovelies!
Wow, I haven’t
posted for a bit. Life has been totally
cray-cray! March is the busiest month
for politicos. I’m preparing for my
daughter’s 3rd birthday and the anniversary of my 27th
birthday. AND, last weekend I had my
“engaged encounter,” a weekend of couples’ therapy required by the Catholic
church to get married in the Church.
More on that later.
Today, I have
some photos from a super cool photo shoot I shot with MakeUp by Tiffany M, Melissa Phan and Kanasü hand bags. Kanasü is a word for the art of sewing by the Wayuu people of
the La Guajira peninsula in Columbia. Purchasing these bags helps support the
economy there, as it is the main source of income for these people.
In the bridal and professional world, makeup is much more
muted. In a editorial shoot, however, we
were able to play up the makeup and bright colors of the bags. I know I’m scared of color on myself. I believe color would not work with my skin
tone, age, etc. Man, these ladies prove
me wrong! Dressing all in black with
sexy shoes, a bib necklace and some colored cat eyes— this might need to be on
the to-do list!
I love the color pop bags!! What do you think? Have a favorite?

These bags seem
awesome for summer! And, you know how
much I love Tiffany’s makeup. (I’m using her for my own wedding!) I think I’m going to have to start watching
Melissa Phan’s work.
